Resolution that established the boundaries of its own responsibilities in both the ground and space segments of satellite meteorology.

The consequence of all this activity was that by the early 1990s EUMETSAT had become a mature Organisation with a defined future. This evolution enabled ESA to work constructively with EUMETSAT to further satellite meteorology in Europe and internationally. The following history gives a sense of the currents and undercurrents that shaped EUMETSAT.
